Herencia Resources plc
("Herencia" or the "Company")Deep Drilling Commences at the Guamanga Project
Herencia Resources is pleased to announce the commencement of a diamond drilling program at the Guamanga Copper-Gold Project (Herencia earning 51%), located to the north of Copiapo in northern Chile.
This current program is scheduled to comprise four to five holes for a total of approximately 1,500m and is designed to test the potential porphyry targets identified at Guamanga in late-2011.
The drilling is again being undertaken by Major Drilling and first assay results are anticipated in April 2012.
Herencia's Managing Director Michael Bohm commented "It is pleasing to see this drilling program commencing on time at Guamanga, following on from the recent positive results from the first four shallow drill holes, released yesterday. The confirmation of copper-gold mineralisation in the shallow drill holes, together with the surface geological indicators and the geophysical targets is a positive suite of results for the Guamanga JV partners.
This is a busy period for our team with a high volume of assay data pending in the coming months. We look forward to receiving the assay results from the remaining seven shallow holes at Guamanga this month, the results from the current deep drilling program at Guamanga in April, and the on-going Patricia assay results over the coming two months.
Completion of this current drill program at Guamanga will also see us achieve our first year (year 1) earn-in milestones under the terms of the Guamanga JV Agreement."
