GMA Resources PLC15 December 2006 15 December 2006 GMA Resources Plc DECEMBER Construction update GMA Resources Plc ("GMA" or "the Company") is pleased to announce an update withregards to the construction of the Tirek / Amesmessa Gold Project ("Tirek /Amesmessa" or "the Project") in Algeria. GMA owns 52% of ENOR spa ("ENOR"), theAlgerian operating company for Tirek / Amesmessa, with the remainder owned bySonatrach, the Algerian state-owned oil and gas company. In a press release dated November 7, 2006, the Company indicated that all majororders for the construction project had been signed and that pre-shipmentinspections were complete or close to completion at that time. The Company wouldlike to provide a further update on the shipping status of certain keycomponents. Tanzerouft water pipeline The first shipment of approximately 30% of the 40 kilometres of pipe has leftthe factory in Sweden. The Victaulic couplings required for the pipeline arecurrently in the port of Algiers Mobile Crushing Plant The bulk of the crushing plant, agglomerator and stacking system are scheduledfor arrival in Algiers on the 3rd and 17th December, with some of the crushingunits being shipped from Taiwan in mid December and mid January. Carbon Plant & Gold Refinery The complete plant is scheduled for shipment from Turkey and USA in earlyJanuary. Geomembrane Liner & Geonet The geomembrane liner and geonet required for the are on schedule for deliveryinto the port of Algiers in January. Caterpillar Equipment Six 735 articulated trucks and a CAT compactor, a D-8 bulldozer and a CAT roadgrader were delivered to the port recently. A second CAT 365 shovel is expectedto arrive in the next few weeks, leaving only two more 735's out of the fourteenordered and one further CAT 966 loader to be delivered. All three are currentlyin the port of Marseilles. Tamrock The third and final Tamrock Pantera 1500 drill is in the port of Marseilles anddelivery to Algiers is expected in the next week. Modular Assay Laboratory It is expected that these containers will be shipped from British Columbia inCanada during December. A partial shipment has already been made from Canada andis expected to arrive in the port of Algiers on 7th January, 2007. Diesel & Water Storage Tanks The diesel and water storage tanks were shipped from Perth in Australia on the30th November, and are scheduled to arrive in the Port of Algiers on the 4thJanuary, 2007 250 Man Camp The camp is scheduled for shipment from Indonesia on the 16th December. Recentphotos of the camp can be seen on our website - www.gmaresources.co.uk Project Electricity Seven containers including three of six main new CAT gensets and switchgear willleave UK in the next week. The rest of the equipment should follow in a coupleof weeks. Ball Mill for Tirek Revisions continue on the refurbishment of the ball mill in South Africa.Shipment is still expected in late March. CEO Douglas Perkins commented, "Our aggressive offshore construction project isquickly taking shape with the vast majority of the containers on their way toAlgiers or to be shipped imminently. The assembly teams will begin to arrive atsite in late January and we are very pleased with our progress to date."
