Death of Peter Buckley
The board of Caledonia Investments plc ("Caledonia" or the "Company") is very sad to announce the death early this morning of its Chairman, Peter Buckley, after a short illness.
Peter joined Caledonia's board in 1976 and served as its Chief Executive from 1987 to 2002 and as Chairman since 1994. His contribution to the board and his leadership of the Company have been major factors in Caledonia's long term success and defined the way in which the Company conducts its business.
James Loudon, Deputy Chairman, will assume the role of Acting Chairman.
