DCD Wins Ad-funded TV Production for GUINNESS
DCD Media, the independent TV production and distribution group, has been commissioned to produce music entertainment programming for GUINNESS as the focal point for Arthur's Day, the brand's worldwide 250th Anniversary celebration.
Following a competitive pitch, DCD-owned live music, entertainment and event producer Done and Dusted has won the commission to produce six hours of programming on the day with group distribution arm DCD Rights distributing programme highlights to the international market.
On 24th September Dublin will celebrate Arthur's Day with performances from top international acts in over 30 different venues, broadcast directly to pubs and music venues in cities throughout the world.
Live music and entertainment will come from some of the world's biggest names in music including the Black Eyed Peas and renowned DJ and producer David Holmes with rising stars such as Estelle, Kasabian, The Wombats and The Enemy and legendary acts such as Soul II Soul and The Undertones from cities around the world including New York, Lagos, Yaoundé and Kuala Lumpur.
David Green, Chief Creative Officer and Acting CEO of DCD said:
"As traditional forms of commissioning evolve, it pays to think outside the box. Branded content is a lucrative market which we have been successfully exploiting from its early stages with major programmes such as the annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show for CBS in the US. This groundbreaking project marks a further milestone in this growing area."
