Cyril Sweett wins ProCure21 training contract
Cyril Sweett Group plc has been appointed by the Department of Health (DH) to assist in the provision of training on the implementation of the ProCure21 procurement process and the practical application of the NEC Contract.
Cyril Sweett will be delivering a comprehensive training package to improve knowledge and performance both within the NHS and for its appointed advisors working on ProCure21 schemes. The Implementation training provides a factual, unbiased understanding of Procure21 enabling NHS Trusts to make an informed decision to adopt the process and an understanding of their role if they are to realise the benefits it brings. The NEC training module introduces the NHS to a modern project management based contract aimed at improving communication between the parties and delivering projects on time and with cost certainty.
The Department of Health commented:
"We are very pleased to have secured the services of Cyril Sweett for provision of ProCure21 Training. Their experience of ProCure21 is second to none which we believe will be invaluable to our delegates".
The training workshops will be delivered over the next 10 months to both NHS professionals and construction industry professionals holding varying experience and opinion of the ProCure21 process.
Dean Webster, CEO of Cyril Sweett, commented:
"Cyril Sweett has been acting as a trusted cost adviser since the national roll-out of ProCure21 and has also worked with many of the Principal Supply Chain Partners (PSCP) appointed to the framework. Through our commercial knowledge and experience in the delivery of the ProCure21 procurement process, we are at the forefront of the sector and well placed to deliver this training.
"It is widely recognised that successful Procure21 projects require a constructive partnership between the PSCP throughout the lifetime of the programme. Collaborative working, proactive project management and commercial management within a target cost envelope will be fundamental aspects of the training.
"We are delighted to win the ProCure21 training contract and this appointment further demonstrates the strength of our expertise in the public health sector."
