Cyril Sweett hires Director of Transport
Cyril Sweett, the international construction and property consultancy, is pleased to announce the appointment of David Young, who will head up the Group's project management offer in the UKtransport sector.
David is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and Civil Engineer and he joins Cyril Sweett from Capita Symonds where he was a Divisional Director (Rail) delivering projects for clients including TfL, Network Rail, Irish Rail, major rail contractors and train operating companies. Prior to joining Capital Symonds, David was a Senior Commercial Manager at Lovell Construction working on Railtrack's Station Regeneration Project. David is a transport specialist and has spent his career to date working and delivering projects within the rail sector, beginning his career with a ten year spell at British Rail.
David will be responsible for developing and leading the programme & project management team serving the rail and wider transportation sector. Cyril Sweett already has credibility for its experience in establishing and running a programme management office and David will build on this successful model to assist other major infrastructure related clients in delivering their own portfolio of projects and programmes of work. The Group has extensive experience in the transport sector working on programmes for Transport Scotland, Thameslink, London Underground and Dubai Metro, where its consultants have helped successfully deliver technically and logistically complex schemes.
