Strategic Alliance to deliver Assured Cloud and Cyber Defence Services

Falanx Group Limited, a security and risk management consultancy working with blue chip and government clients worldwide, announces that Falanx Group Ltd and MDS Technologies Ltd, a leading provider of cloud services through the UK Government's G-Cloud programme, have formed a strategic alliance to deliver assured cloud and cyber security services to governmental and corporate clients, worldwide. The new alliance will allow Falanx to offer businesses a comprehensive cloud-based cyber defence service, previously only available to Governments.

Falanx will initially focus on providing security services for MDS, which facilitates government clients' transitioning securely to Skyscape Cloud Services' assured cloud-computing infrastructure. This will be achieved through Falanx's 'state-of-the-art' Cyber-Security Operations Centre ("C-SOC"), which will be co-located with MDS' service management facility at Spring Park, Corsham, Wiltshire.

Falanx's C-SOC will provide protective monitoring of networks at the boundary and across data sources. This will involve management and analysis of data and provision of helpdesk services to continuously protect networks and systems from hostile attack, malicious intent, espionage, failure of process or technology, and human error.

Skyscape is the market leading provider of assured cloud computing services to UK Government departments under the G Cloud contracting framework, whilst MDS has specific expertise in providing data centre hosting and services to enable clients to move their computing and IT services into the cloud.
