MIAMI, Feb. 8 -- Carnival Corporation & plc announced that its joint Current Report on Form 8-K was filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on February 7, 2008 and a copy was submitted to the UK Listing Authority disclosing that Baroness Sarah Hogg, a member of the Boards of Directors of Carnival Corporation and Carnival plc, notified the company that due to additional pressures on her schedule following her appointment as Deputy Chairman of the UK Financial Reporting Council, she has decided not to seek re-election at the next annual meetings of shareholders scheduled for April 22, 2008.
