Conditions precedent for iPower BlueGEN programme completed
On 17 November 2014, Ceramic Fuel Cells Limited (ASX/AIM: CFU) announced the commencement of the first fully funded BlueGEN programme, where its BlueGEN unit is installed at no cost to the end user. CFU is pleased to announce that the conditions precedent that were required to be met for iPower to draw down funds from a third party funder have now been fulfilled and CFU has received the £350,000 (A$636,000) deposit.
CFU advises that the first installation under the iPower contract is expected to take place this month. Under the terms of the agreement with iPower, 55 units are to be installed by 30 June with the remainder by 30 September.
As previously announced, the 100kW fleet will be installed primarily in public sector buildings. End users pay for the costs of gas and maintenance and receive the benefits of the electricity generated by the BlueGEN units and the heat which is recovered for hot water.
