Federal Court approves AEL scheme of arrangement for merger with Roc Oil Company Limited
Anzon Energy Limited ("AEL") announces that the Federal Court of Australia ("Court") today ordered that the scheme of arrangement between AEL and its shareholders ("Scheme"), in relation to the proposed merger with Roc Oil Company Limited (ASX & AIM: ROC), be approved.
The Scheme will become effective once a copy of the Court order is lodged with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission on 8 September 2008.
An indicative timetable for the remaining steps to implement the Scheme is set out below.

All dates and times are Sydney, Australia times and are indicative only. Any changes to the above timetable will be announced to AIM and available on AEL's website www.anzonenergy.com.
Application for the admission of the New ROC securities to trading on AIM will be made by ROC and trading of the New ROC securities on AIM is expected to commence on 22 September 2008.
Cancellation of admission of AEL to AIM will occur on 23 September 2008, following the implementation of the Scheme.
