After nine years at Heathrow, Andrew Efiong, Director of Treasury, will leave us at the end of July.
Andrew has played a critical role throughout his time with us, successfully re-positioning Heathrow's profile as a leading UK corporate in global debt capital markets as head of debt investor relations and, for the last six years, as Director of Treasury, leading Heathrow's treasury function. Over this period, he has led a team that has raised £15 billion in long- term debt supporting Heathrow in becoming the best hub airport in Europe. Andrew's influence has been critical to establish us as a leading global airport credit for both banks and institutional investors across six currencies.
I thank Andrew for his exceptional contribution to Heathrow and to my leadership team and wish him the very best for the future.
Over the coming months I will continue working closely with Andrew as we start the search for his successor and make all the necessary arrangements for a smooth transition and handover.
