Conversion of Loan Note
Advanced Power Components (AIM: APC), the UK specialist distributor and manufacturers' representative of electronic components, has today allotted 1,333,333 ordinary shares of 2p each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") pursuant to the conversion by Roger Robinson, a substantial shareholder in the Company, of £100,000 of convertible loan notes, which were originally issued on 10 February 2009. The loan notes converted at a price of 7.5p per share.
Following the issue of these Ordinary Shares, Mr Robinson and related family trusts are interested in 7,493,821 Ordinary Shares, representing approximately 25.3 per cent of the Company's issued share capital
Application has been made to the London Stock Exchange for 1,333,333 Ordinary Shares to be admitted to trading on AIM. Admission is expected to become effective and dealings in the Ordinary Shares are expected to commence at 8.00 a.m. on Tuesday, 14 August 2012. Following admission of these shares, the Company will have 29,579,715 Ordinary Shares in issue. The new Ordinary Shares will rank pari passu in all respects with the existing ordinary shares.
The aforementioned figure of 29,579,715 Ordinary Shares may be used by shareholders in the Company as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, APC under the Financial Services Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
