Contractual Update Colombia
Amerisur Resources Plc, the oil and gas producer and explorer focused on South America, is pleased to provide the following update on the Platanillo contract in Colombia.
The Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) of Colombia has authorised the commencement of the Exploitation Period in the Platanillo field within the prescribed Exploitation Area.
Total current production from Platanillo-2 and Alea-1 is approximately 360 BOPD.
Competent person: Technical information in this announcement has been reviewed by John Wardle Ph.D., the Company's Chief Executive. John Wardle has 24 years experience in the industry, having worked for BP, Britoil, Emerald Energy and Pebercan, and is a trained drilling engineer.

The block is located in the Putumayo Basin of Colombia and the commercial area, with its protection zone covers 10,341 hectares. The Company holds 100% of the contract and is the Operator.
