Coyote System expands its use of the world's smallest GSM/GPRS module
TELIT WILL SUPPLY THE WORLD'S SMALLEST MODULE FOR COYOTE SYSTEM'S CUTTING EDGE GPS RADAR WARNING SYSTEMS
Rome, 18 October 2010 - Telit Wireless Solutions, a global leading specialist in wireless machine-to-machine (M2M) technology, and Coyote System, the European leader in GPS radar warning systems, have concluded a framework agreement for the sale of the world's smallest GSM/GPRS module. This move represents a further extension of the companies' existing collaboration. According to the agreement, Telit will supply Coyote System over the next two years with GE865-QUAD modules.
Coyote System has been using the world's smallest GSM/GPRS module in its equipment since 2009. The Radar warning systems distributed by Coyote transmit in real-time the speed limit, alert drivers of mobile and fixed speed cameras in real-time as well as on traffic incidents which allows users to drive on all European roads with confidence. Currently used in France, the United Kingdom, Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy and the Czech Republic the radar warning systems of Coyote have more than 600,000 users.
Making an impression with compact size and global support
"The thing we value most about the Telit module is its compact size," says Jean-Marc Van Laethem, CTO and co-founder of Coyote System. "Because our systems have to work in a limited space, this means that we're able to offer our customers new developments."
The high-class manufacturing, quality and globally available technical support for the world's smallest GSM/GPRS module also convinced Coyote System to expand its partnership with Telit. This partnership not only includes now the use of the GE865-QUAD in the latest radar warning systems, but also a co-branding, illustrating that Telit technology is inside the device, and thus guaranteeing reliable communication.
"We're delighted to extend our strategic partnership with a company as innovative as Coyote System," says Felix Marchal, Global Vice President Sales at Telit Wireless Solutions. "The fact that the founder and leading provider of GPS radar warning systems is relying even more on our modules highlights not only the quality of our products, but also demonstrates their versatile uses."

About Coyote System
Founded in June 2005, COYOTE System is the developer of COYOTE, the first geolocation-based information solution to allow communication in real time while taking into account the vehicle driver's route, speed limit variations, traffic disruptions and fixed and mobile radars. Available in either the Coyote stand-alone version in its own housing or an iPhone version, the aim of the solution is to improve road safety and accident prevention by encouraging users to respect the current legislation.
Equipped with GPS, GPRS and GSM technologies, the system communicates continually with a central server which transmits the relevant information to the user. It also allows each driver to indicate to all the other members of the Coyote community, in real time, the presence of hazards on the route (fixed and mobile radars, traffic disruption) at the simple touch of a button.
With European coverage, Coyote now has a community of over 600,000 users.
Coyote System enjoys the support of the CRITT (Centre Régional de l'Innovation et de Transfert de technologies d'Ile de France) (Ile de France Regional Centre of Innovation and Technology Transfer), received the Frost & Sullivan award in 2008 (telematics category), and is now also France's premier provider of real-time traffic information.
