Artilium plc
("Artilium" or the "Company")
Contract wins worth circa €1 million
Artilium (AIM:ARTA), the developer of advanced software for telecoms networks, announces that it has signed new contracts worth approximately Euro 1 million to provide solutions to two of its existing customers, which will be delivered over the next few months.
The first contract, worth circa Euro 0.4 million is with Lebara, a Mobile Virtual Network Operator ("MVNO") with over 2.5 million customers in Continental Europe, the UK, and Australia, to which Artilium currently provides Intelligent Least Cost Routing through its ARTA Service Delivery Platform. The contract will double the capacity of Lebara's current platform over the coming months from 60 to 120 call attempts per seconds ("CAPS") in steps of an additional 10 CAPS per step.
The second contract, worth circa Euro 0.6 million will be to provide the ARTA Mobile Network Enabler Platform to another existing client, who currently operates fixed line telephony services on the ARTA platform from Belgium. This new Mobile Virtual Network Enabler ("MVNE") targets several MVNOs with an overall subscriber base of 100,000 active subscribers. The software will primarily focus on the delivery of Intelligent Roaming services. This contract is the first licence agreement signed by Artilium based on the new operating expenditure ("OPEX") licence strategy which, Artilium believes, better aligns its business with that of its clients.
An important additional benefit from these contracts is that Artilium will now have ARTA platforms connected to all Mobile Network Operators ("MNO") active in Belgium, facilitating the provision of services to MVNOs.
Artilium plans to issue an end of year statement on 30 June 2010 that will include a review of its product development, trading and new contract wins throughout the year.
Maarten Bisseling, CEO, said:
"We are very pleased to announce these new contract wins, particularly since they come from existing clients who wish to expand the services currently provided to them by Artilium. The contracts also demonstrate the versatility of the ARTA platform in providing a wide range of network solutions. Furthermore, all MNOs active in Belgium will now be connected to an ARTA platform, which will make it easier for us to provide additional services to both new and existing customers, as we continue to focus on winning new contracts for our products and services. We are particularly pleased to see that the change in sales strategy has now resulted in the first OPEX based licence contract."
