Major Contract Wins in UK - anticipated value £10.0m over two years
WYG plc, the global programme, project management and technical consultancy, is pleased to announce that it hasrecently won its 11th project under the UK MoD's PSP Framework and three important new framework contracts with an anticipated combined value to the Company of more than £10.0m over the next two years.
· In June 2014, we announced that we had been appointed to the UK MoD's Principal Support Provider framework for Construction Design and Project Management Services in the UK and overseas (PSP Framework). This framework is used by the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) to procure technical and advisory services to optimise the use of the MoD's 230,000 hectare estate.
We are pleased to announce today that, with the recent award of a new project to manage the construction of 1,200 new homes for service families as part of The Salisbury Plain Training Area Masterplan, the value of projects awarded to WYG under the PSP Framework in the past six months now exceeds £3.8 million. Since being appointed to the PSP framework, we are delighted to have secured 11 major projects, including the redevelopments of barracks at Catterick and North Luffenham and projects at RAF Lossiemouth, RAF Brize Norton and the Commando Training Centre Royal Marines at Lympstone.
We are currently bidding for another seven significant projects under the PSP Framework on which we are awaiting the outcome. The work under the PSP Framework is in addition to the significant ongoing portfolio of work we have with the MOD both in the UK and overseas.
· We are also pleased to confirm that we have been appointed to a £50 million ground investigation framework on a national infrastructure project. As part of this agreement, WYG will provide a comprehensive range of services ranging from pre-investigation surveys to on-site activities such as a ground and groundwater analysis, as well as surface geophysics. Alongside the other contractors appointed to the framework, we will have the opportunity to bid for individual work packages with on-site work expected to begin in the summer.
· Towards the end of 2014, we were appointed to a four-year Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) multidisciplinary panel. This national panel facilitates easy access to accredited specialists and experts, saving Local Authorities and other public sector organisations across the country cost and time in procuring professional services.
We provide a comprehensive range of professional services that allows a fully integrated approach to all types of projects, from land regeneration to new developments. These services include project and cost management, engineering, architecture, planning, masterplanning, landscape architecture, ecology and biodiversity.
· Finally, in addition to the place we won in 2014 on Transport for London's (TfL) Professional Services Framework Lot 4 - Transport Consultancy (design and implementation of traffic signal schemes), in February 2015 we won a place on the TfL's Professional Services Framework - (freight planning & commercial vehicle planning & modelling). Both frameworks are to run for an initial two years with an option to extend for a further two years.
Paul Hamer, Chief Executive Officer of WYG, said:
"Last year, the Group renewed or won a place on seven out of the eight major frameworks that it bid including Northern Ireland Central Procurement Directorate, Sainsbury's, NHS, Defence Equipment & Support, Royal Mail Group and the UK MoD's PSP Framework.
"The Group has achieved a 45% win rate on the contracts announced today under the PSP Framework, representing a marked increase in our bid to win ratio on our long term frameworks agreements over the past three years. This reflects our focus on bidding less and bidding bigger to win more, an approach which we believe will serve us well as we continue to win places on further frameworks."
