Avanti Communications Group Plc (AIM: AVN), the satellite operator, is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a contract by the Regional Growth Fund. The award, amounting to £5 million relates to the expansion of Avanti's broadband infrastructure and activities in Cornwall. The award is conditional on completion of standard government procedures and was today announced by the Department of Business Innovation and Skills.
