Aggreko PLC24 September 2007 24 September 2007 Aggreko plc Wins 90MW Contract for Temporary Power in Angola Aggreko plc, the world leader in the provision of temporary power andtemperature control solutions, has won a significant contract with EmpresaNacional de Electricidade (ENE) to supply Luanda with 90MW of temporary power tohelp sustain the rapid growth of the Angolan economy. The 90MW will be in addition to the 60 MW already installed in Luanda and inCabinda; as part of the new contract, the arrangements for the existing Luandasite are to be extended for a further year. The contract will provide enoughpower for up to 4 million people. Equipment for the contract will be installed in phases, with the initial 30MWdue to be commissioned in December 2007 and the balance to be delivered in 2008.The overall value of the contract will be $45 million in 2008. Aggreko International Power Projects now supplies electricity to 19 Africannations as governments and utilities in the region increasingly turn to thecompany to support their strong economic growth as they develop more permanentsources of power. "Due to the reviving economy in Angola and the exceptional demand for power inLuanda, we have taken measures to install additional temporary power in Luanda.We have chosen Aggreko to supply an additional 90MW of temporary power becauseof their faultless performance in executing their existing 30MW power station inCezenga, Luanda. The existing project in Cezenga will be increased to 60MW andthe balance of 60MW will be installed on two new sites" said EduardoGomes Nelumba, Chairman of the Board of ENE.
