Delia Smith to host her first BBC TV Christmas Special in 20 years

Motive Television PLC announces that its Manchester-based television production subsidiary, Scarlet Television Ltd, has won a further BBC order for "Delia's Classic Christmas", a one-hour special for BBC 2.

For the first time since 1990, Delia is back on our screens at Christmas time. In this 60 minute special, executive produced by Paula Trafford for Scarlet Television, she will unveil a celebration feast packed with indulgent, scrumptious recipes.

Delia's Classic Christmas is a sumptuous celebration of Christmas cooking crammed with the very best of Delia's Christmas recipes and packed with practical tips and step-by-step guides to enjoying the preparations.

Scarlet Television has also been commissioned to produce a 5-part series on BBC2. "Delia Through the Decades" looks back at her 40 years in cookery and how she has affected eating habits in Britain. The series also features fans such as Stephen Fry, Victoria Wood and Sir David Attenborough.

Worldwide television distribution is by Motive International, (powered by DRG).
