The order is worth approximately $325,000. Salineira is part of the Jacob Barata Group, a major transportation company thatoperates 3,500 buses in Brazil, and another 225 in Portugal. Salineira is theonly public bus operator in the cities of Cabo Frio, Arraial do Cabo, Armacaodos Buzios, Araruama, Iguaba Grande and Saquarema. The IVG system to be installed on Salineira's buses uses a narrowband (cellular)network to stream high-quality live video to security personnel in a controlcentre, and to mobile devices such as cellular phones, PDAs and laptops. Thesystem can be automatically programmed to send alerts whenever a potentialsecurity breach has been detected, and is GPS-supported so that third partiescan easily track the location of the vehicle. Each bus will be equipped with amobile video gateway and two cameras. Jonas Garcia, the IT Manager for Salineira, said: "We piloted a demo unit forfour months and are now convinced that the IVG system will enhance security onour bus lines. If this project is as successful as we envisage, there is astrong possibility that the system will be installed on other buses owned by theJacob Barata Group." Gidon Tahan, SerVision's Chairman and CEO, commented: "Servision's IVGtransmission of live video from moving platforms is the highest qualityavailable over cellular networks and the implications for the worldwidetransportation market are far reaching. With companies able to monitor theirfleets in real time from a remote destination we believe that this will lead toa massive reduction in both corporate and individual crime. We are delighted tobe working with Salineira and remain optimistic about future growth." - Ends - Further enquiries: SerVision plc +972 2535 0015Eitan Yanuv, Finance Director HB Corporate 020 7510 8598Jim McGeever Threadneedle Communications 020 7936 9605Graham Herring/Josh Royston About SerVisionSerVision Ltd. is a leading producer of remote video surveillance products usingdependable, digital wireless video technologies.
