TPG Engineering to build integrated steam management system
TP Group (AIM: TPG), the specialist technology, engineering and managed solutions group, announces that TPG Engineering, the Group's thermal systems company based in Dukinfield, Greater Manchester, has been awarded a project to build a large steam condenser, to be installed next year at a chemical processing plant in the UK.
The project is significant to TPG as it is the first on this scale to be delivered as a total package solution. The package includes conventional heat exchanger bundles, manifolds, pumps, fans and steam control systems. The supply also includes electro-mechanical design and fabricated structures such as walkways and handrails to go alongside the system on site as a turnkey provision.
TPG Engineering will support installation with a commissioning package to ensure minimum down-time of the production facility.
Valued at just under half a million pounds, this project rewards the transformation of the Dukinfield business, under its new management team, from a traditional thermal equipment business to a supplier of end-to-end systems and solutions for critical applications.
The system is planned to go into service in early 2017 and is hoped to be the first of many similar integrated systems to be produced at the Dukinfield facility.
