System C Healthcare plc29 May 2007 System C Healthcare signs new deal to provide IT specialists to Connecting for Health System C Healthcare has signed a major new contract to provide experiencedhealthcare IT deployment specialists to the government's NHS Connecting forHealth agency. Under a framework contract with consultancy services specialist QI Consulting,System C will provide specialist support to NHS Connecting for Health's CentralDeployment Support Team. This team is responsible for helping NHS Trustsimplement the National Programme for IT and transfer knowledge and skills toTrust staff. System C's healthcare IT experts are already working directly for Local ServiceProviders and Trusts across the country. They have helped implement a wide rangeof solutions in areas such as patient administration, child health, primarycare, theatres, results reporting, order communications, Single AssessmentProcess (SAP), Picture Archiving (PACS) and decision support systems. The new contract is a flexible and cost effective performance-based frameworkagreement which allows NHS Connecting for Health to draw on the company'sspecific specialist expertise to support the go-live process as and whenrequired. System C employees each have an average of over 15 years' healthcare computingexperience covering all aspects of implementation including design, programme/project management, data migration, interfacing, testing, training and usersupport. For NHS Connecting for Health, they will be delivering practicalhands-on assistance resolving issues, sharing experience and filling short-termresource gaps.
