Contract win: 15-year partnership with London Metropolitan University
Malvern International plc (AIM: MLVN), a global partner in learning and skills development, announces that it has signed an exclusive 15-year partnership with London Metropolitan University (LMU). The partnership aims to rapidly expand the international student body starting in September 2026, offering a range of recruitment, education, and support services. The agreement includes the option to terminate the contract every five years.
Operating out of LMU's international study centre based at the Holloway campus, Malvern, will deliver undergraduate foundation and pre-master's programmes, supporting international students to progress onto a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
Under the Partnership, Malvern will provide international student recruitment and conversion, admissions, student fee collection and course delivery, including teaching, orientation and student support. A large portion of the course fees will be collected by the Company in advance of course delivery each academic year. As a result, the Partnership is expected to be cash flow positive and profitable in its first full academic year to 30 September 2027.
The strategic partnership strengthens Malvern's position in the global education marketplace, complementing its existing portfolio of university partnerships. By leveraging its global infrastructure, Malvern is committed to fostering sustainable growth in student enrolments and is confident it can contribute significantly to LMU's international student body.
Based on the terms of the Partnership agreement, Malvern anticipates that the University's proposition will be well-received by international students and the Company's agent network.
Professor Gary Davies, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Recruitment and Business Development) at London Metropolitan University said: 'This long-term partnership with Malvern International reflects our shared commitment to widening access to high-quality higher education and supporting international students to succeed. The International Study Centre will play an important role in preparing students for study in London, while reflecting our civic mission and values-led approach. We look forward to welcoming the first cohort to our Holloway campus and to working closely with Malvern International to support student progression and success.'
Richard Mace, CEO at Malvern, said: "We are proud to partner with London Metropolitan University, which has been recognised as the top university in the UK for student value added in 2025 and one of the top 20 UK universities for student support - both areas which we seek to enhance further when it comes to the international student body. In the last year, we have added four new university partnerships to our portfolio, highlighting our dedication to providing transformative opportunities for students."
