XN Checkout Holdings PLC17 June 2005 Press Release 17 June 2005 XN Checkout Holdings plc Contract Win - Hotels Joint supply contract to provide Rocco Forte Hotels with Protel Multi-Property Edition PMS system XN Checkout Holdings Plc ("XN Checkout Holdings" or "the Company"), a marketleader of Electronic Point of Sale ("EPOS") solutions to the leisure, retail andhospitality markets, announces that it has won a significant new contract in thehotel industry. XN Checkout is part of the Protel Partnership consortium led by ProtelHotelsoftware GmbH (Dortmund, Germany) and Serenissima Informatica S.p.A.(Padua, Italy) which has been awarded a contract to supply all Rocco ForteHotels with the Protel Multi-Property Edition (MPE) PMS system. Rocco ForteHotels currently operates nine hotels throughout Europe with plans to open afurther four by the end of 2007. Sir Rocco Forte, Chairman of Rocco Forte Hotels, said: "Protel will provide thebackbone to our IT systems as we grow the company to a position of leadership inthe European luxury hotel market. Our hotels are already very skilled atremembering the preferences of our individual guests and anticipating theirneeds when they return. This enhanced IT backup will allow us to share thatknowledge such that guests of one of our hotels will be immediately recognisedwhen they visit other properties in the brand. We have chosen Protel because ofthe strength of their product, the competitive price and the high level ofcustomer service which they have demonstrated during our evaluation of theproducts in the marketplace." Earlier this year through its XN Australia Pty Limited subsidiary, the Companywon its first full-scale hotel contract in Australia with the Sydney-based Togahospitality group. For commercial reasons, the value of neither contract is being disclosed at thistime.
