Contract win
Meggitt strikes $129 million agreement with Sikorsky Aircraft for rotorcraft components
Meggitt, a leading international company specialising in high performance components and sub-systems for aerospace, defence and energy, has been awarded a five-year agreement from Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation for the manufacture of fuel tanks, ice protection equipment, composites and interiors.
Covering all Sikorsky's production military rotorcraft, including the BLACK HAWK helicopter, the contract is valued at up to $129 million.
The equipment will be manufactured in Meggitt's polymers and composites facility in Rockmart, Georgia, USA, and deliveries under the contract will start in 2013.
