Contract Win 

Avanti Communications Group plc (AIM: AVN), the broadband satellite operator, has signed a contract to supply wholesale broadband services to Computex Telecommunications Sp of Poland. Computex has over 150 staff, has been in business for 20 years and is a major supplier of complex systems in IT, data networks, remote learning systems, radio access systems, satellite systems, LAN and WAN networks. 

Computex Telecommunications has minimum order value of £100,000 in 2009 at a price equivalent of over £2,000 per MHz per month. Wholesalers such as Computex are highly profitable segment of customers and therefore form an important part of Avanti's portfolio.

David Williams, Chief Executive of Avanti, said:

"We are very pleased with our continuing momentum in signing distribution partners, which gives us confidence in meeting our pre-sales objectives.  Poland is perhaps the most important market in Europe in terms of the amount of EU money dedicated to enhancing its infrastructure and so we are delighted to be making such strong progress there.
