APR Announces New 200MW Contract in Uruguay. Extension of Existing 100MW Contract
APR Energy, a global leader in temporary power solutions, today announces that it has signed a new 200MW contract in Uruguay to provide its fast-track, temporary power solutions. The agreement provides for dual-fuel gas turbines to address anticipated power needs for the customer. The initial term of the contract will run into mid-2014. APR Energy also announces that it has signed an extension to its existing 100MW contract with the customer, with the term to run into mid-2014.
This brings APR Energy's total new contract wins this year to 569MW and contract renewals of 724MW. The current order book (backlog of business) stands at over 12,175 MW-months.
John Campion, CEO said: "This new deal, together with the contract extension, is representative of the strong demand we continue to see across the temporary power market, particularly, in our key markets of Latin America, Africa, the Middle East and Asia. As seen with the Uruguay contract, a key growth driver continues to be demand for mobile gas turbines, for which we are well positioned as one of the world's largest providers."
