Communisis wins
Contract with Department for Children, Schools and Families and
Sustainability award from the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs
Communisis plc (LSE: CMS.L), the print and business process outsourcer, announces that it has recently won a new contract and an award which serve to underline its growing presence in the Public Sector.
Partnering with outsourced fulfilment provider, Prolog, Communisis will support the Department for Children, Schools and Families ("DCSF") in its drive to utilise technology to communicate with its stakeholders. Over a six-year contract starting in May 2009, Prolog and Communisis will be providing an integrated managed service for all DCSF publication production, management and delivery. The new contract, which has digital asset management and online print procurement among its many technology-led features, cuts up to 20 per cent a year from DCSF's production costs.
Communisis also announces that it has won the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs' ("DEFRA") Sustainability Award at their annual Procurement Awards. Communisis has been selected from DEFRA's many suppliers for helping DEFRA to achieve its government sustainability targets and for positively impacting Communisis' own supply chain and environmental performance.
Steve Vaughan, Communisis Chief Executive, commented: "Our ability to deliver communication solutions beyond print was recognised as a key differentiator in winning the DCSF contract. We hope that this will be the start of a mutually fruitful partnership with Prolog as we work to win further contracts in the Public Sector."
