This new system will be capable of processing in excess of20 million vehicle license plates a day, providing the police and other securityagencies with vital intelligence to help fight against serious and organisedcrime. Importantly, this is the first phase of a larger two phase contract,which is expected to be completed within 12 months. The Company will be replacing an existing ANPR system with over 200 of its new,high performance Cobra ANPR cameras at strategic sites and police stations. Itwill also be supplying its Talon ANPR software, which will be used for numberplate recognition processing. All plate data will be transmitted to a centralpoint and collated.
