Portmeirion Group PLC22 December 2005 PORTMEIRION GROUP PLC ANNOUNCEMENT Portmeirion Group PLC today announces that it has finalised the contract for thelease of a new warehouse and distribution centre. The new warehouse will be 60,000 sq.ft. and located in Stoke-on-Trent, close tothe existing manufacturing site. Construction will start early in 2006 forcompletion by the Autumn. It is planned that the new warehouse will be fullyoperational by early 2007, replacing the two existing warehouse sites inStoke-on-Trent. The new warehouse will be fitted with modern handling equipment and will be ableto warehouse and distribute increased volumes of both UK manufactured andimported goods. It will significantly improve the quality and flexibility ofservice that we are able to provide to our retail customers. This is an important further step in the modernisation and repositioning of theCompany and will, when the new warehouse is operational, allow the sale of oneof the existing warehouse sites, the freehold of which is held by the Group.
