Contract Extension
Avanti Communications Group plc (AIM: AVN), the broadband satellite operator, is pleased to announce that it has received an extension worth Euros 250,000 for its EU funded SISTER project. The SISTER project (Satellite communications in Support of Transport on European Roads) was established to explore the application of satellite services to the road transport sector. The extension allows Avanti and its partners to refine and test new techniques and applications developed in the project.
David Williams, Chief Executive of Avanti, said:
"Projects like SISTER drive forward new applications for the HYLAS capacity over and above simple broadband and give rise to our growing confidence in the speed of uptake."
