CHEMRING GROUP PLC ALLOY SURFACES AWARDED US$20 MILLION ORDER FROM THE UK MOD
Chemring Group PLC ("Chemring") is pleased to announce that its US subsidiary, Alloy Surfaces Company, Inc. ("Alloy Surfaces"), based in Chester Township, Philadelphia, has been awarded a US$20 million contract to supply ASD BOLIR Special Material Decoys to the UK Royal Air Force. The contract allows for additional option quantities of up to US$20 million over the life of the contract.
Dr David Price, Chief Executive of Chemring, commented: "With this new contract Alloy Surfaces' order book is now in excess of US$160 million, a firm base on which to grow the business organically."
Chemring is an international leader in defensive countermeasures and energetic materials. The countermeasures division comprises Alloy Surfaces Company, Inc. and Kilgore Flares Company LLC in the US, and Chemring Countermeasures in the UK.
