Ashtead Group plc announces that on the 19 October 2012 Maureen Sutcliffe, wife of Ashtead Director Ian Sutcliffe, purchased 8,332 Ashtead ordinary 10p shares at a price of £3.58 per share.

Ian Sutcliffe continues to beneficially hold 13,822 Ashtead ordinary 10p shares.
