Chime Communications plc, the leading marketing services group, announces that the sale of the Bell Pottinger Businesses to BPP Communications Ltd. as approved by shareholders on 18th June 2012 has been completed.
As set out in the Circular to shareholders and on completion Lord Bell and Piers Pottinger have resigned as Directors of the Company.
Rodger Hughes, the senior Non-Executive Director has been appointed as Chairman whilst the search for a new Non-Executive Chairman takes place.
Chime further announces that Chris Sweetland is also appointed as a Non-Executive Director of the Company. Chris is Deputy Group Finance Director of WPP plc and is appointed in accordance with the subscription agreement of 1997 which provides for WPP's right to board representation subject to certain levels of shareholding in Chime. The Company confirms that there is no further information requiring disclosure under Listing Rule 9.6.13.
