Speedy Hire PLC01 August 2007 1 August 2007 Speedy Hire Plc ("Speedy Hire" or the "Company") Completion of Hewden Tools Acquisition Speedy Hire is pleased to announce that completion has taken place of itsacquisition of the trade and assets of the tool hire division ("Hewden Tools")of Hewden Stuart Plc. On 14 June 2007 the Company announced the proposed acquisition of Hewden Toolsand the placing in two equal tranches of 4,359,800 new ordinary shares of 5peach at a price of 1250 pence per share ("Placing Shares"). The second trancheof 2,179,900 Placing Shares ("the Conditional Placing Shares") was conditionalupon completion of the Acquisition and the passing of resolutions at theCompany's AGM on 17 July 2007. These conditions having been satisfied,application has been made for admission of the Conditional Placing Shares to theofficial list of the UK Listing Authority and admission to trading of theConditional Placing Shares to London Stock Exchange plc's market for listedsecurities.
