Change of Group General Counsel and Company Secretary

Barratt Developments PLC announces that Laurence Dent, Group General Counsel and Company Secretary of Barratt Developments PLC, will retire on 31 December 2010 and be replaced by Tom Keevil, currently General Counsel and Company Secretary for United Utilities Group PLC, in early April 2011. Ian Hogarth, Deputy Company Secretary, will be appointed as Acting Company Secretary for the interim period with effect from 1 January 2011.
