Appointment of new Company Secretary

Produce Investments plc (AIM: PIL), a leading operator in the fresh potato and daffodil sectors, is pleased to announce the appointment of John Clegg as General Legal Counsel and Company Secretary, with effect from 17 July 2017.

Having been a corporate lawyer at both Pinsent Masons LLP and PwC LLP, John has worked closely with Produce Investments plc since 2011, advising on, amongst other things, the acquisitions of Rowe Farming and the Jersey Royal Potato Company. He will be leaving his current position as a Director at Alpaca in Leeds to take up his new role. John has also previously spent time as in-house counsel and data protection officer for Asda Stores.

Commenting on John's appointment, Angus Armstrong, CEO said: "We are delighted that John is joining the Company. Having advised on our two most recent and largest acquisitions he knows the business well and will be a great addition to our team."
