Commencement of Leaching

GMA Resources PLC07 January 2008 7th January 2008 AIM: GMA GMA Resources Plc ("GMA" or "the Company") COMMENCEMENT OF LEACHING AT AMESMESSA The Company is pleased to announce that leaching operations began at Amesmessaon December 30, 2007, following receipt of authorization from the AlgerianGovernment, to store and use cyanide at Amesmessa. On December 30, there was90,000 tonnes of ore on the pad with tonnage being increased daily at designcapacity. There are five drippers now under irrigation over a total of 6,000square meters and the Company expects to continue to expand the area underirrigation on a daily basis. The Company has tested all circuits for the production of gold dore and expectsto make gold pours during January.
