Drilling commences at Bai Bang, Pu Sam Cap in Vietnam
Commencement of 3,000 metre diamond core Drill programme
TPJ, the AIM-listed gold exploration company focused on South East Asia, is pleased to announce that on 8th April 2011 it commenced a 3,000 metre diamond core drilling programme at its Pu Sam Cap gold project in Vietnam, following the receipt and review of the assay results from recent field work at the project. The Company expects to complete the drilling in August, though the timing of completion of the programme depends on the wet season which is due to start around the end of May.
Assay results
Of a total of 231 samples taken, 43 rock chip channel samples and 4 rock grab samples (which are set out in more detail below) returned assays greater than 2 g/t gold, ranging from 2.01g/t to 29.3 g/t gold and 0.2 g/t to 103 g/t silver. The 43 rock chip channel results averaged a true width of 0.86 metres at a weighted average grade of 4.50 g/t gold and 11.5 g/t silver. The four rock grab samples ranged from 2.54 g/t to 22.4 g/t gold, averaging 13.3 g/t gold.
Bill Howell, TPJ's Exploration Director, said:
"The results have increased the strike length of known mineralized zones, and some of the gold values are very encouraging. The zones will be tested for grade, continuity and depth extent by the drilling programme now underway. The new zones identified will also require follow up work".
Fraser McGee, TPJ's Chief Executive, said:
"Recently I had a very positive visit to our project in Vietnam, and I am very pleased that our continued and determined work has yielded these encouraging results. The commencement of the drill programme is another clear positive step in the development of the Company's business as a whole this year, and I am looking forward to providing our shareholders and the wider market with the results over the next 5 or 6 months."

Background
The assay results were compiled from a total of 231 rock chip channel and rock grab samples taken across structurally controlled mineralisation in outcrop and underground tunnels driven by historical artisanal miners at the Bai Bang prospect. The sampling was aimed at extending the strike length of known high grade gold mineralisation previously encountered by TPJ. The location of all sample sites are shown on the accompanying map, with those results greater than 2 g/t gold highlighted. Assay results greater than 2 g/t gold are also tabulated below.
The programme established two main steeply dipping structural zones trending east-west for approximately 1 km and a second zone trending NE-SW for approximately 1.6km. Several other subsidiary zones were also identified in the sampling programme.
Pu Sam Cap has long been recognized as a large gold-copper mineralized centre. It has been estimated by local government authorities that in the 1990s some 3,000 local artisanal miners were extracting gold from a series of veins over an area covering 10 km2 centred at Bai Bang. Work by TPJ since 2005 has confirmed that these veins are up to 2 metres in width and can be traced through a vertical interval in excess of 500 metres and along strike lengths up to 2,000 metres. Previous rock chip sampling of outcrop returned widespread high-grade values up to 126 g/t gold and sampling across the veins in near-surface underground workings gave an average value of 13.4 g/t gold. Scout diamond drilling on one of the veins intercepted a 2 metre interval at 7.9 g/t gold, including 1 metre at 12.4 g/t gold, at a hole depth of 122 metres.
