Columbus resumes operations

6 May 2011 - OAO Severstal ('Severstal') (LSE: SVST; RTS: CHMF) makes a statement that its Columbus plant in Mississippi has resumed its steelmaking and rolling operations interrupted due to electrical power blackout as a result of the severe storm. The plant's operations are currently running at a slightly reduced level due to certain power restrictions and are expected to come back to full production level shortly.
