Colombia Update

Amerisur Resources Plc, the oil and gas producer and explorer focused on South America, is pleased to announce the strengthening of its team on the ground in Colombia.

Carlos Andres Martinez Bonilla, a Colombian national with 18 years of experience in the Colombian and International oil industry, has been promoted to the position of General Manager Colombia, with immediate effect. In this position, Carlos Andres will be responsible for the entire Colombian business unit, including the achievement of the Company's operating plan and budget, Health, Safety and Environmental integrity, together with governmental relations and contractual compliance. This post reports directly to John Wardle, Chief Executive Officer.

Carlos Andres previously occupied the post of Technical and Operations Manager within Amerisur and has worked with the Company since 2007. He holds both BSc and MSc degrees from the University de Los Andes, Bogota in Petroleum Engineering.
