Cobham Receives Contracts from Lockheed Martin Worth more than $25 Million for Aerial Refuelling Systems, External Fuel Tanks

DAVENPORT, IA - Cobham has been awarded contracts in excess of $25 million from Lockheed Martin to supply aerial refuelling systems and external fuel tanks for that company's C-130 Hercules aircraft.

"These systems will enable U.S. Air Force and U.S. Marine Corps operations where in-flight refuelling is critical to the success of the mission," said Iain Gibson, Vice President of Cobham Mission Equipment.

Cobham's 48-000 series aerial refuelling pods and 1360-gallon external fuel tanks are standard equipment on all Lockheed Martin HC-130J, MC-130J, and KC-130J tanker models. Cobham is the world leader in hose and drogue refueling systems, having supplied the vast majority of air-to-air refueling systems currently in operation around the globe. Cobham also has more than six decades of experience designing and manufacturing fuel tanks for the aerospace industry.

Work will be performed in Davenport, Iowa, with deliveries scheduled for 2011 and 2012.
