Hyundai Motor Company Record Date : December 31, 2010

Hyundai Motor Company will close its shareholder registry from January 1, 2011 until January 15, 2011.

According to the Articles of Incorporation of Hyundai Motor Company, December 31 of each year is the

record date for annual shareholders meeting and annual dividend payment, and accordingly our common

shareholders that are registered in Hyundai Motor Company's shareholder registry as of December 31,

2010 and the holders of our Global Depositary Shares* ("GDSs") as of the same date will be entitled to

exercise their voting rights at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders and to receive dividends for the

fiscal year 2010.

The date of the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders and the proposed dividend rate will be notified to

the common shareholders and the holders of GDSs upon the resolution of the board of directors' meeting

scheduled to be held in March 2011.

*Voting rights of Global Depositary Share holders may only be exercised in accordance with terms of the

Deposit Agreement.
