CLOSING OF SHARE PURCHASE PLAN
Nyota Minerals Limited (ASX/AIM: NYO) the gold exploration and development company in East Africa announces the closing of the Share Purchase Plan ("SPP") announced on 21 February 2013. The SPP closed for applications on 2 April 2013, in accordance with the SPP documentation. Valid applications for 12,470,000 new Ordinary Shares were received and accepted, raising $374,100 before expenses.
The SPP was undertaken in accordance with the relief from the disclosure requirements provided by the Australian Securities & Investments Commission and enabled eligible shareholders of the Company to subscribe for new Ordinary Shares at the same price as the Placing announced on 21 February 2013, up to a maximum investment of A$15,000 per shareholder.
The issue of new Ordinary Shares pursuant to the SPP has been approved at a shareholder General Meeting held earlier today. Allotment of these Shares is expected on 8 April 2013, subject to cleared funds, with commencement of trading on AIM expected from 8 April 2013.
