Sub: Clarification on news item appearing in BUSINESS STANDARD, dated 30TH May 2020

Ref: Reg. 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015 (Listing Regulations)

This has reference to news item appearing in Business Standard, dated 30th May 2020, titled 'Private equity player Bain Capital in talks to up stake in Axis Bank'.

We would like to clarify that the news item is speculative and the Bank has not taken any such decision in this regard. As such no disclosure is required to be made under Reg. 30 of the Listing Regulations and the Bank shall keep the Exchange duly informed as and when any decision is taken by it in this matter.

We trust this clarifies the matter.
