At the request of the Takeover Panel, Venture wishes to clarify certain press stories with respect to the price which Venture shareholders would be prepared to accept for their shares in Venture from Centrica plc ('Centrica'). Venture confirms that it has only received confirmation of the intentions of two shareholders, ArcLight Capital Partners, LLC ('ArcLight') and Larry Kinch. ArcLight and Larry Kinch have issued their own statements setting out their views on Centrica's offer.
