Electrica informs the shareholders and investors about the fact that, on 24 February 2020, the Company has received a claim for warranty registered by the defendant Victoria Lupu, as part of file no. 35647/3/2019 before the Bucharest Tribunal.

Ms. Victoria Lupu is defendant in file no 35647/3/2019, having as object the underscoring of the liability of the members of the Board of Directors and the Chief Executive Officer of Electrica Furnizare SA, action submitted by the concerned company, following the damages retained by the Court of Accounts of Romania in the Decision no. 11 / 23 December 2016.

In her claim for warranty Ms. Victoria Lupu requested the admission in principle of the warranty claim formulated against Electrica, and consequently, the obligation of Electrica, the majority shareholder of Electrica Furnizare SA, to pay all the amounts of money to which the defendant would be liable to the plaintiff Electrica Furnizare SA, in file no. 35647/3/2019.

We mention that the plaintiff Electrica Furnizare SA requested that the defendant Victoria Lupu shall be ordered to pay 6,232,398.44 lei as well as the related legal interest, jointly with the other members of the Board of Directors and the Chief Executive Officer of Electrica Furnizare SA.
