cloudBuy plc (AIM: CBUY), the cloud ecommerce marketplace, announces that its Executive Chairman, Ronald Duncan, will be presenting at the "Citizen Engagement and The Care Act" summit taking place in London on 8th September 2014. Dr Daniel Poulter MP, Health Minister, will be the keynote speaker at the summit.

The summit is supported by cloudBuy partners NHS Shared Business Services, Northamptonshire County Council and Grassroots PLC.

The conference will focus on the integration of Health and Social Care and will feature sessions on Breeze-e, cloudBuy's innovative new marketplace for Northamptonshire County Council, as well as an update on progress on Personal Health Budgets from NHS Shared Business Service. Consumer specialists, The Grass Roots Group, will cover citizen engagement and how to reach and support individuals and their families given the expansion of care into the mass market from its historic local authority niche.

Dr Daniel Poulter MP, Health Minister, will explore how best to implement The Care Act and practitioners will be discussing some of the most advanced initiatives in the sector and will work through scenarios with attendees.

Event speakers include:

· Dr Daniel Poulter MP (Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Health);

· Penny Osborne ( Assistant Director of Business Intelligence and Strategic Commissioning), Northamptonshire CC;

· Benjamyn H Damazer JP (Head of Commissioning), NHS SBS;

· John Shilling (divisional Director), Grassroots; &

· Ronald Duncan (CIO & Chairman), cloudBuy.

Ronald Duncan, Chairman of cloudBuy commented:

"We are delighted to have a strong group presenting and explaining The Care Act to potential local authority and NHS customers. The Act is a significant step change and addresses the requirements of the 90% of people who have to pay for their own care and have previously been left to fend for themselves.

cloudBuy has a significant first mover advantage in the care sector as it expands from its historic local authority funded niche to self funders who account for 90% of care. cloudBuy is the only organisation with a credible solution in this space, since self funders need provider ecommerce sites and we are the only organisation providing ecommerce sites in the care space."
