Charlie Cornish to leave United Utilities

United Utilities Group PLC16 June 2010 BOARD CHANGE CHARLIE CORNISH TO LEAVE UNITED UTILITIES

Following the signing of various agreements to sell the majority of United Utilities' non-regulated interests, Charlie Cornish, Managing Director Utility Solutions, will be leaving the group later in the year, after over six years on the Board. Charlie will be taking up a new position with Manchester Airport as its Chief Executive Officer.

Philip Green, Chief Executive, said:

"Charlie has been an important part of our work to improve operational performance and more recently has been integral in successfully agreeing the disposals of a number of our non-regulated businesses. I would like to thank Charlie for his significant contribution and wish him every success in his new role."
