CHANGE TO DIRECTOR'S RESPONSIBILITIES
Tesco PLC announces that Ken Hanna, who joins the Board of Tesco PLC as a Non-executive Director today, will become a member of the Audit Committee and the Remuneration Committee.

As previously announced Ken Hanna is leaving Cadbury plc in early April 2009 to become Chairman of Inchcape plc where he has been a non-executive director since 2001. Ken has been Chief Financial Officer of Cadbury Schweppes plc since 2004, and of Cadbury plc, its successor company, since the demerger of Schweppes Beverages in May 2008. He was previously an Operating Partner of Compass Partners from 1999 to 2004 and CFO and then CEO of Dalgety plc between 1997 and 1999. Ken has also held the position of CFO at United Distillers and Avis Europe plc.
